Looking for an ''edgy, alternative view" of Christmas? The X-Mass Project, a group of Salem State theater students and theater department alumni, promises just that in ''The Eight: Reindeer Monologues," opening at the college's Callan Studio Theatre tomorrow.
In the show, all is not well at the South Pole with Mr. and Mrs. Claus harboring many secrets. But each reindeer has no problem telling it like it is.
Corey Smith directs the cast of Anthony Goes, Paul Melendy, Alex Brown, Mandy Meehan, Hannah Barth, Brian McCarthy, Ted Clement, and Lola Cutter Hensel.
The show is for mature audiences only. Performances are tomorrow through Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, $5 for students and senior citizens, and available at the door only.
