The Spider-Man monologue was originally written in 1989 for Michael K. Wells to perform at No Shame Theatre in Iowa City.
In 1994, the piece was accidentally submitted to the American Blues Theatre in Chicago and selected to be performed in Monsters III: The El Ride - a collection of short pieces related to, or taking place on the El in Chicago. I made some revisions to the monologue for that production.
