The Open Door is seeking to create a union between audience and theatre artists. Theatre is not
an inactive medium. It is not something to be watched, but to be experienced. Every member of
the audience, individually and collectively as well as the actor, the director, the stage manager, the
numerous designers and the theatre space itself are all an inherent part of the essence and
"catharsis" of the true communal theatre experience. It is our mission to inspire, transform, ignite
and create a vital, living, shared, human experience through high quality professional theatre.
