EXT. HOLLISTER RESIDENCE - FRONT PORCH - DAY

Andy and Barney are about to knock on the door. Barney
               still has his gun drawn.

                                      ANDY
Now, before we go in here, I want you
to keep in mind, this is a serious
crime, and there's like to be tempers
flaring and emotions running high, and
we gotta look to the safety of any
                          innocent bystanders who might get
                          caught in the crossfire.

                                      BARNEY
                          You got it, Sheriff.

                                      ANDY
So maybe you oughta give me your
                          bullet.

                                      BARNEY
                          But, Andy--

                                      ANDY
                          Give it.

Barney reluctantly hands over his bullet as Andy knocks on
               the door.

               INT. HOLLISTER RESIDENCE - CONTINUOUS

MRS. HOLLISTER, with a baby under one arm, opens the door
for Andy and Barney. Six more children are seen frolicking
in the clutter of the one bedroom shack.

                                      ANDY
                          Good morning, Mrs. Hollister.

                                      MRS. HOLLISTER
I don't know nothing about no
                          moonshine.

She tries to shut the door in his face, but Andy gets his
               foot in.

                                      ANDY
                          That's not why we're here. We'd like
to talk to your husband. Is he around?

                                      MRS. HOLLISTER
He don't know nothing about no
                          moonshine, neither.

                                      BARNEY
We're not here about the moonshine,
                          Mrs. Hollister!

                                      MRS. HOLLISTER
Well, I know you ain't collecting for
                          the policeman's ball.

                                      ANDY
We want to talk to Rafe about Otis
                          Campbell. He died today.

               The baby bursts into tears.

                                      MRS. HOLLISTER
                                (sheepishly)
                          They was real close.

                                      ANDY
Mrs. Hollister, I know this is a touchy
subject, but we really need to see your
husband. Is he up at the still?

                                      MRS. HOLLISTER
If you think Rafe sold Otis some bad
                          moonshine--

                                      ANDY
I don't rightly know what I think till
I talk to him, Mrs. Hollister. Now
we're gonna do that one way or the
other. So, if you like, we can wait
here with you till he comes home. But
if you don't want to see him dragged
off in handcuffs in front of the
children, you better just tell us where
                          to find him.

Mrs. Hollister eyes them nervously --

                                                         CUT TO
