EXT. OUTSIDE THE CAMPBELL RESIDENCE

Mrs. Campbell waves to them from the front porch as Andy
walks Barney back to the car.

                                      ANDY
                          Now, quit your poutin'.

                                      BARNEY
                          Well, I think I deserve a explanation.

Andy glances over his shoulder to make sure they're out of
               earshot.

                                      ANDY
Mrs. Campbell told us Otis was bringing
home an envelope with 100 dollars every
                          week.

                                      BARNEY
                          You're not gonna believe that
                          cockamamie story, are you?

                                      ANDY
Yes, I am, and I'll tell you why.

Andy reaches in his pocket and takes out another identical
               envelope.

                                      ANDY
Because I found this one just like it
in Otis's coat pocket when we searched
                          him this morning.

Barney looks at the money, astonished.

                                      BARNEY
So that part of her story checks out.
But where'd he get it? There's no way
Otis Campbell was making this kind of
money dipping glue part-time at the
                          furniture factory.

                                      ANDY
I don't know. But whatever Otis was up
                          to... Today was payday.

                                                         FADE OUT
